Celebrate Summer Books for Kids 2018

We teamed up with Morgan Hill Life to encourage local children to keep up with their reading over the summer school break:

For our inaugural program to slow the drop in reading skills over the summer break, we identified ten elementary classrooms that would appreciate a literacy boost. Donors from the community helped us raise $250 per classroom to supply enough books for each child to receive an end-of-year gift. Working with the teachers from those local schools we chose age-appropriate books to help kids enjoy reading outside of school for pleasure. In addition to boosting reading, the students are encouraged to write thank-you letters to donors, as part of the broader education remit of the program.
